A village, built card by card

Picture a table full of small illustrated scenes: a bakery, a tea shop, a library, each one pieced together entirely from overlapping playing cards. Nothing sits in neat rows here. Cards physically overlap one another so their artwork lines up into a single layered picture of your village's well, library, pea patch, tea shop, or bakery.

The heart of this game is a cozy, engine building village made from cards that combine into illustrated scenes in front of you.

A world worth visiting

Sab.jpg

The art is hand drawn by cozy illustrator Sabgeid, full of warmth and character-driven. Her illustrations are intimate, a little whimsical, and interested in the ordinary magic of people doing work they love.

Sab has already illustrated the Library, along with one villager and a friendly local capybara. The money from raised from the Kickstarter will fund the rest of Sab's illustrations (and the first printing of the game), bringing to life the well, the bakery, the tea shop, the pea patch, and a rich cast of diverse neighbors and animals.

Where things stand

This is currently a hand built, actively playtested prototype. The core loop of harvesting, building, and rearranging is proving itself out. What's ahead is tuning the economy and finishing the cast of villagers who'll bring it to life. If a game about piecing something cozy together out of very little sounds like your kind of table experience, then follow along.
